Tic disorders:
People with tic disorders make sounds or display body movements that are repeated, quick, sudden, and/or uncontrollable. (Sounds that are made involuntarily are called vocal tics.) Tourette's syndrome is an example of a tic disorder.

Bipolar disorder:
Bipolar disorder involves periods of elevated or irritable mood (mania), alternating with periods of depression. The "mood swings" between mania and depression can be very abrupt.

because mental "illnesses" are contagious, much like emotions. for example if you associate with happy people all the time you're more likely to be happy. developed countries have much more suicide and this is largely because of the contagiousness. a decade ago or something like that there was this one area in africa where suddenly everyone was killing themselves, can't remember details but that was a classic case study.

when western psychology was brought to asia it also brought western mental illnesses...

it's just human nature and not limited to anything. for example a lot of western youth are idiots with chants of democracy and stuff and the us government spreads it on purposely obviously which is well documented, and it worked and now all over the world we have a new generation of idiots.

the lesson is you have to protect yourself because it is human nature to be influenced by things around you so you want to be influenced in a conscious way.

Because more knowledge of mental illnesses usually accomodates the increase in the number of mental illnesses that are given proper definitions which would increase the likelihood of someone meeting the criteria to be diagnosed with a mental illness duh
